A life-threatening situation initiated the idea of
the Healthy Home®
Injector2® Termite Elimination System, developed by an Oklahoma
homebuilder with an amazing story, as amazing as the
science and technology itself.
Tom Hoshall's daughter suffered from severe
breathing problems (asthma and allergies) and had to
be rushed to the hospital one evening because she
couldn't breath in her own home. Tom learned that it
was the air quality of their home that had so severely
aggravated her condition. Tom set out from that point
to learn everything he could about indoor air quality
and consequently built a healthy home where his family
could live safely, having the overall air quality
drastically improved. As a result, others noticed what
Tom was doing and wanted him to build their homes.
After that, he built a few more, and a few more, and
eventually a lot more homes, and Tom found himself in
the home-building business. Tom built his family a
beautiful healthy home but soon realized that they
faced an even more serious problem...
INSECTS! Insects had found their way into the house
through tiny areas between the floor and foundation.
Controlling these insects with traditional chemical
methods was completely out of the question, due to his
daughter's asthma. Tom spent 7 years testing and
developing the Healthy
Home® Injector2® Termite Elimination System. Tom
began installing the system in all the homes he built,
and he found that the system greatly added to the
homes' resale value, appeal, and customer
satisfaction.
The system increased Tom's home sales dramatically
and added to the over-all value of the home to
prospective homebuyers. With the system installed, Tom’s
home-building business started growing very fast, and
one day he noticed that he had almost 60 homes under
construction. In 2002, Tom formed a pest control
company and began selling the system to other
builders, and these builders' home sales also jumped
dramatically. Within a very short time, 21 builders
had came onboard, accounting for hundreds of homes per
year.
Towards the end of 2002, Tom received a United
States Patent # 6,446,383 &
6,564,504 on the
system and begin phasing down his home-building
business in order to get ready to offer other pest
control companies licenses to do the same thing.
